Car
If you're driving, start from central Kagoshima and head north on Route 3 (Kagoshima Bay Road). Continue for about 10 minutes until you reach the Terukunicho area. Turn left onto Terukunicho, and you will find Terukuni Shrine at 19-35 Terukunicho. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that it might incur a small fee.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a city bus from Kagoshima Chuo Station. Board the bus heading towards Terukuni Shrine (the bus stop is labeled). The journey takes about 20 minutes. Disembark at the Terukuni Shrine bus stop, which is a short walk from the shrine entrance.

From Kagoshima Chuo Station, take the JR Kagoshima Main Line towards Sendai. Get off at the Kagoshima Station (the journey takes about 5 minutes). From Kagoshima Station, you can either walk (approximately 25 minutes) or take a local bus to Terukuni Shrine. The bus will take around 10 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedules as they may vary.

If you're staying nearby or enjoy walking, you can reach Terukuni Shrine on foot from Kagoshima Chuo Station. It’s approximately a 25-minute walk. Head north from the station, cross the main road, and continue straight until you reach Terukunicho. Turn right, and the shrine will be ahead.
