    If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture. From central Kanto, you can take the Tohoku Expressway. Depending on your starting point, you may need to merge onto the Tohoku Expressway from routes like the Shuto Expressway or other highways connecting to it. The exit for Nikko is the 'Nikko IC'. Once you exit, follow the signs towards Nikko city. Continue on Route 119, which leads directly into the city. After entering Nikko, look for Route 29, which will take you towards Sannai. The Niōmon Gate is located at 2307 Sannai, Nikko, Tochigi 321-1431. There is parking available nearby, but be prepared for a small fee (around 500 yen for a few hours).
