Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, take the Kanetsu Expressway from Tokyo towards Nagano. Exit at the Shibukawa-Ikaho Interchange and follow Route 145 towards Kusatsu. The total drive is approximately 3 hours depending on traffic. You will arrive at the Kusatsu Onsen area, where the Kusatsu Hot spring Tourist Association is located. Look for signs directing you to the Onsen Bus Terminal (温泉バスターミナル), which is situated at the address 〒377-1711 Gunma, Agatsuma District, Kusatsu, 28 1F. Parking may be available nearby, but check for any fees at the parking lot.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Kusatsu Hot spring Tourist Association via public transportation, start from Tokyo Station and take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Takasaki Station. This part of the journey takes about 50 minutes. From Takasaki Station, transfer to the JR Agatsuma Line and get off at Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi Station, which takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi Station, board the Kusatsu Onsen bus that directly connects to the Kusatsu area. The bus ride will take around 25 minutes. Disembark at the Onsen Bus Terminal (温泉バスターミナル). The Kusatsu Hot spring Tourist Association is located on the first floor of this terminal.
