To reach Sawata Shrine by car from central Kyoto, take the Kyoto Jukan Expressway (also known as the Kyoto Beltway) and exit at the 'Kyoto Higashi IC.' Follow the signs for Route 1 towards Sakyo Ward. Continue on Route 1 for about 7 kilometers, then turn left onto Shimogamo Izumikawacho. The shrine is located at 2-15 Shimogamo Izumikawacho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, 606-0807. Parking may be limited, so look for nearby parking lots or street parking.

Public Transportation
To visit Sawata Shrine using public transportation, start by taking the Kyoto City Bus. From Kyoto Station, take bus number 204 or 205 towards 'Kurama' and get off at 'Shimogamo Jinja-mae' bus stop. The bus fare is approximately 230 yen. From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes to the shrine, which is located at 2-15 Shimogamo Izumikawacho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, 606-0807.

Train and Bus
You can also reach Sawata Shrine by a combination of train and bus. Take the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station to Tofukuji Station (about 5 minutes), then transfer to the Keihan Main Line and ride to Demachiyanagi Station. From there, take bus number 204 or 205 towards 'Kurama' and get off at 'Shimogamo Jinja-mae' bus stop. The total travel time is approximately 30-40 minutes, and the total fare should be around 500 yen.
