If you are driving from central Kyoto, take the Kyoto City Loop Line (Route 1). Merge onto Route 367 heading towards Sakyo Ward. Continue for approximately 15 minutes, then turn onto Izumikawacho Street. Kawai Shrine will be on your left at 59 Shimogamo Izumikawacho, Sakyo Ward, Kyoto, 606-0807. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees that may apply.

Public Transportation (Train and Bus)
Start your journey at Kyoto Station. Take the JR Nara Line to Tofukuji Station (approximately 5 minutes). From Tofukuji Station, transfer to a bus heading towards Sakyo Ward. Board the bus number 204 or 205. After a 30-minute ride, get off at the Kawai Shrine bus stop. The shrine is a short walk from the bus stop. Ensure you have a prepaid IC card (like Suica or Pasmo) for the bus fare, which is typically around 220 yen.

Public Transportation (Subway and Bus)
From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line north to Kokusaikaikan Station. At Kokusaikaikan, transfer to bus number 17 or 204. The bus ride will take about 20 minutes. Get off at the Kawai Shrine stop. The shrine is located just a short walk from the bus stop. Remember to have some cash or an IC card for the bus fare, which is approximately 220 yen.
