Car
From the center of Koshi, head southeast on Route 57 towards Kumamoto city. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 3. Turn left onto Route 3 and follow it for about 8 kilometers. Look for signs for Hanaokayama, which will be on your left at 4-chōme-45 Kasuga, Nishi Ward, Kumamoto. There is free parking available near the base of the mountain.

Public Transportation
Take the Kumamoto City Tram from Koshi Station towards Hanabatacho Station. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at Hanabatacho Station and transfer to Bus No. 8 (Kumamoto City Bus) towards Kasuga. After about 15 minutes, get off at the Kasuga 4-chome stop. From there, it is a short 5-minute walk to Hanaokayama at 4-chōme-45 Kasuga, Nishi Ward, Kumamoto. Be sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time for any changes.
