If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the Azuchi-cho area in Omi Hachiman City, Shiga Prefecture. From Kyoto, take the Meishin Expressway and exit at the Omi Hachiman IC. Once you exit, follow Route 8 north. After about 15 minutes, you will see signs for Azuchi Castle Ruins. There is parking available near the site, and it is recommended to arrive early to secure a spot.

To reach Azuchi Castle Ruins by public transportation, take the JR Tokaido Line from Kyoto Station to Omi Hachiman Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Omi Hachiman Station, you can take a local bus (bound for Azuchi or Azuchi Castle Ruins) which takes approximately 20 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the station, which will take around 10 minutes and cost approximately 1,500 yen.
