If you're traveling by car, head towards Shiga Prefecture from Kyoto. From Kyoto, take the Meishin Expressway and exit at the Takashima IC. Follow the signs to Route 161 towards Takashima. After approximately 15 minutes of driving, you will see signs for Shirahige Shrine. The shrine is located at Ukawa, Takashima, Shiga 520-1122. Parking is available near the shrine.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Kyoto Station to Omi-Takashima Station on the JR Kosei Line. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Omi-Takashima Station, you can take a local bus (Kinki Nippon Railway Bus) towards Ukawa. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Ukawa bus stop, and from there, it’s a short walk to Shirahige Shrine. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited.
