Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, head towards the center of Wakasa and take Route 27 towards Hikone. Continue on Route 27 for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach Hikone. Once in Hikone, follow the signs to Sawacho. Turn onto Sawacho where you'll find Daishiji at 7-19 Sawacho, Hikone, Shiga 522-0075. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees.

  • Public Transportation - Train

    To reach Daishiji by train, take the JR Obama Line from Wakasa Station to Higashi-Maizuru Station. From there, transfer onto the JR Biwako Line heading towards Maibara. Disembark at Hikone Station. From Hikone Station, you can take a local bus or taxi to Daishiji. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes and costs approximately 200 yen. If you choose a taxi, it may cost you around 1,500 yen.
