If you are traveling by car, set your GPS to 〒605-0875 Kyoto, Higashiyama Ward, 五条坂 鐘鋳町５６９. From central Kyoto, take the Kamo River Road (R-1) heading southeast. Continue until you reach the intersection with R-367. Turn left onto R-367 and follow the signs for 'Higashiyama'. After approximately 10 minutes, turn right onto Gojosaka Street. Continue straight for about 5 minutes until you reach the house. Parking may be available nearby, but please check local signage for any parking fees.

To reach Kawai Kanjiro's House using public transportation, start at Kyoto Station. Take the Karasuma Line (subway) to Shijo Station. From Shijo Station, transfer to the Number 100 or 206 bus towards 'Higashiyama'. Alight at the 'Gojosaka' bus stop after approximately 20 minutes. After getting off, walk straight for about 5 minutes along Gojosaka Street, and you will arrive at Kawai Kanjiro's House. Note that the bus fare will be around 230 yen.
