Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're in the Gion area, head southeast on Hanamikoji Street towards Shijo Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Shijo Avenue, then turn left. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the Yasaka Shrine. From Yasaka Shrine, exit the main gate and take a right onto Yasakadori Street. Continue down this road for approximately 5 minutes. You will then see a small road on your left with a sign pointing to Yasui Kompiragū Shrine. Follow this path for about 3 minutes, and you will arrive at the shrine.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From Kyoto Station, take Bus No. 100 or 206 towards Gion. Alight at the Gion bus stop. From there, follow the walking directions provided above to reach Yasui Kompiragū Shrine. The bus fare is approximately 230 yen.

  • Public Transport (Subway and Walking)

    Take the Karasuma Subway Line from Kyoto Station to Shijo Station. Transfer to the Hankyu Kyoto Line and get off at Kawaramachi Station. Exit the station and walk towards the Kamo River. Head south along the river until you reach the Shijo Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue walking into the Gion district. Follow the directions provided in the walking section to reach Yasui Kompiragū Shrine. The subway fare will be about 260 yen.
