The garden is located at the end of a scenic drive, with ample parking available nearby. The parking may incur a fee, so be sure to have some yen ready.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, start by taking the JR Sagano Line from Kyoto Station. Ride the train towards Saga-Arashiyama Station, which takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Saga-Arashiyama Station, exit the station and walk towards the bus stop located just outside. Board the Kyoto City Bus number 93 or 28, heading towards 'Sagatenryuji' or 'Arashiyama'. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Tenryuji-mae' stop. From there, Sogenchi Teien is about a 5-minute walk. Follow the signs or use a map application to guide you to the garden entrance.
