Train
From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Tofuku-ji Station (approximately 5 minutes). Transfer to the Keihan Main Line and head north to Demachiyanagi Station (approximately 20 minutes).

Bus
From Demachiyanagi Station, exit the station and take the Kyoto City Bus #204 or #17 towards 'Kinkaku-ji'. You will ride for about 10 minutes and get off at 'Okikucho' bus stop. From there, Chōmyō-ji Temple is a short 5-minute walk.

After getting off at 'Okikucho', walk up Okikucho Street. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach the temple on your left, at 96 Okikucho, Sakyo Ward. Look for the temple's entrance which is well-marked.
