Getting There

Walking

If you are already in Fushimi Inari, you will find the entrance to Fushimi Inari Taisha just a short walk away. Head towards the main shrine which is marked by large torii gates. From the main shrine, follow the path uphill, and you will soon begin to see the Sembon Torii, or Thousand Torii Gates, on either side of the trail. The gates create a stunning corridor leading you further into the shrine grounds. The hike up through the gates can take around 30 minutes to an hour depending on your pace, but feel free to stop and take photos along the way!
Public Transport (Train)

If you are coming from the city center of Kyoto, take the JR Nara Line from Kyoto Station to Inari Station. The journey takes approximately 5 minutes and costs around 150 yen. From Inari Station, you will see the entrance to Fushimi Inari Taisha directly in front of you. Once you enter the shrine grounds, the Sembon Torii gates are just a short walk up the hill from the main shrine.
