Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from central Omi, head north on Route 20 towards Chino. After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward Kitayama and follow the signs for Shirakaba Lake. The lake is about 10 km from the exit. Follow the road until you reach the parking area near the lake. Note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 500 yen.

  • Public Transportation

    From Omi Station, take the JR Chuo Line towards Matsumoto. Get off at Chino Station (about 15 minutes). At Chino Station, transfer to the Alpico Kotsu bus bound for Shirakaba Lake. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited, especially on weekends. The bus fare is around 1,000 yen one way.
