Car
If you are traveling by car, start from any location in Sagami and head towards the Katsuura Toll Road (Katsuura Bypass). Follow the signs for the Katsuura Toll Road and pay the toll fee, which is approximately 500 yen. Continue on the Katsuura Toll Road until you reach the exit for Kyonan. After exiting, follow Route 128 towards Kyonan and then take Route 34. Look for signs directing you to Nihon-ji Daibutsu. There is parking available at the site, but it may be limited during busy times.

Public Transportation
To reach Nihon-ji Daibutsu using public transportation, take a train from Sagami Station to Katsuura Station on the JR Sotobo Line. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 600 yen. Upon arriving at Katsuura Station, transfer to a local bus bound for Kyonan. Get off at the Nihon-ji Daibutsu stop. The bus ride will take around 20 minutes and costs about 300 yen. The Great Buddha is a short walk from the bus stop.
