Car
If you are driving to Daikaku-ji from central Settsu, take the Route 171 (Kinki Expressway) towards Kyoto. Follow the signs for the Kyoto area and merge onto the Kyoto Jukan Expressway. Take the exit towards Saga/Arashiyama and continue to follow signs for Daikaku-ji. There is parking available near the temple, but note that there may be a fee of approximately 500 yen for parking.

Train
To reach Daikaku-ji via public transportation, start by heading to the nearest train station in Settsu. Take the JR line towards Kyoto. Once you arrive at Kyoto Station, transfer to the JR Sanin Line and take a train towards Saga-Arashiyama Station. The ride will take about 30 minutes. From Saga-Arashiyama Station, it's a 15-minute walk to Daikaku-ji. You can follow the signs towards the temple, or use a navigation app for directions. There is no entrance fee for walking to Daikaku-ji.

Bus
You can also take a bus from Settsu to Daikaku-ji. Start at your nearest bus stop and look for a bus heading to Kyoto. Once you reach Kyoto, transfer to the Kyoto City Bus that goes to Daikaku-ji. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as they may not run frequently. The bus fare is around 230 yen one way.
