Getting There

    From Shirakawa-go, take Route 156 heading south. Continue on this road for approximately 21 km. Then, merge onto Route 158 heading east towards Fukui. After about 22 km, turn onto Route 364 and follow the signs for Katsuyama. The Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum will be on your left at 51-11 Murokocho Terao, Katsuyama, Fukui 911-8601. The total drive is approximately 1 hour and may incur toll costs depending on the route you choose.

    From Shirakawa-go, take the Nohi Bus from the Shirakawa-go bus terminal to Takayama. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Once in Takayama, transfer to the JR Hida Line and take a train to Fukui Station. From Fukui Station, take a local bus (Katsuyama line) directly to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum. The total travel time is approximately 3 hours and costs around 3,500 yen for the bus and train combined.
