Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Suō. Head southwest on Route 2 towards Hatsukaichi. Continue on this route for approximately 15 kilometers. Once you approach Hatsukaichi, keep an eye out for signs directing you to Miyajima. Take the exit for Miyajima and follow the signs. After crossing the bridge, continue straight until you reach Suginoura beach. There is parking available near the beach, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee.

Public Transportation - Train and Ferry
For those using public transportation, begin by taking the JR Sanyo Line train from Suō Station to Miyajimaguchi Station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Miyajimaguchi Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the ferry terminal. Purchase a ferry ticket to Miyajima (approximately 180 yen one way). The ferry ride is about 10 minutes. After disembarking at Miyajima, you can either walk or take a local bus to Suginoura beach, which is about a 20-minute walk from the ferry terminal. If you choose to walk, simply head south along the coast, following the signs to Suginoura beach.

Public Transportation - Bus
Alternatively, you can take a local bus from Suō to Hatsukaichi. Board the bus at Suō bus terminal and get off at Hatsukaichi Station. From there, transfer to a bus heading towards Miyajima. Once on the bus, keep an eye on the stops until you reach the Suginoura beach stop. The entire journey may take around 50 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Ensure you have enough change for the bus fare, which is typically around 500 yen.
