If you are traveling by car, start from central Hiroshima and take Route 2 towards Hatsukaichi. Continue on Route 2 for about 30 minutes until you reach the intersection with Route 186. Turn left onto Route 186 and follow the signs for Miyajima. After approximately 10 minutes, you will see signs for Momijidani Park. There is parking available near the park, but be aware that it may incur a fee, typically around 500-1000 yen depending on the duration of your stay.

Public Transportation - Train and Ferry
To reach Momijidani Park using public transportation, start your journey at Hiroshima Station. Take the JR Sanyo Line to Miyajimaguchi Station (approximately 30 minutes). From Miyajimaguchi Station, walk to the ferry terminal and take a ferry to Miyajima Island (the ferry ride takes about 10 minutes). Once you arrive on Miyajima Island, follow the signs towards the park. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the ferry terminal to Momijidani Park. The ferry costs around 1800 yen for a round trip.

Another option is to take a bus from Hiroshima Station to Miyajima. Look for the buses heading to the Miyajima area, which takes about 50 minutes. After arriving at the Miyajima ferry terminal, you will need to take the ferry to the island. Once you arrive, walk 20 minutes to reach Momijidani Park. This bus ride typically costs around 1000 yen.
