Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the central area of Hatsukaichi and head towards Route 2. Follow Route 2 for approximately 10 km. After passing through Miyajima Ferry Terminal, keep following the signs for Miyajima. As you approach Miyajimacho, look for signs directing you to Machiya Street. There is parking available nearby, but please note that parking fees may apply, usually around ¥500 for a few hours.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Machiya Street by public transport, take the JR Sanyo Line from Hiroshima Station towards Miyajimaguchi Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Miyajimaguchi Station, exit the station and walk towards the ferry terminal. From there, take the ferry to Miyajima Island (cost is about ¥1800 for a round trip). After disembarking, follow the signs to Machiya Street, which is about a 15-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

Public Transportation - Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Hiroshima Station to Hatsukaichi City. Look for the bus service headed towards Miyajima. It takes around 40 minutes to reach the Miyajima area. Once you arrive at the bus stop, follow the signs to the ferry terminal and then take the ferry to Miyajima Island. After the ferry ride, walk towards Machiya Street, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the terminal.
