    From Zao Onsen, head east on Route 286 towards Yamagata City. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you will reach the junction for Route 48. Follow the signs as you approach the museum, which is located at 4223 Yamadera, Yamagata, 999-3301. Parking is available near the museum.

    From Zao Onsen, take a bus to Yamagata Station. The ride takes about 30 minutes. At Yamagata Station, transfer to the JR Senzan Line and take a train towards Yamadera Station.
