Experience Zaō Quasi-National Park

Getting There

  • Car

    From Zao Onsen, head south on Route 13. Continue for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the entrance of Zaō Quasi-National Park, located near the Zao Ski Resort area. Look for signs indicating the park entrance. There is no parking fee at the park entrance, but please be mindful of parking regulations.

  • Public Transportation

    From Zao Onsen Station, take the Zao Onsen Line bus heading towards Zao Ski Resort. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. Disembark at the Zao Ski Resort stop. From there, follow the signs to the Zaō Quasi-National Park entrance, which is about a 5-minute walk. The bus fare is approximately 400 yen.

  • Walking

    If you are already in Zao Onsen, you can also walk to the park entrance. Head south on the main road, following the signs for Zao Ski Resort. The walk is about 4 km and will take approximately 50 minutes. This scenic route offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
