Public Transport
From Versam-Safien train station, the Ruinaulta is easily accessible. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs towards the various viewpoints and hiking trails. The Islabord viewing platform is a short walk from the village. Local buses connect the station to other nearby villages such as Valendas, from where you can connect to the Ruinaulta bus. A single bus fare from Valendas to Versam costs CHF 2-3. Consider purchasing a Saver Day Pass for unlimited travel on public transport throughout Switzerland.
Walking
From the village of Versam, various well-marked hiking trails lead to the Ruinaulta and its viewpoints. Follow the signs for "Rheinschlucht" or specific viewpoints like "Islabord" or "Spitg". The hike to Islabord is relatively short and easy, offering stunning views of the gorge. Be prepared for some uphill sections depending on the chosen trail. Walking is free, but allow ample time to explore.
