    From Lindau-Insel train station, the Bayerischer Löwe is a short, scenic walk. Exit the station and head towards the harbor. The lion stands prominently at the harbor entrance, approximately a 5-minute walk. There are no costs involved in walking to the statue.

  • Public Transport

    If arriving at Lindau-Reutin (mainland) , take a city bus towards Lindau Insel. The bus will drop you near the harbor, from where it is a short walk to the Bayerischer Löwe. A single bus fare costs approximately €2-3. Alternatively, with the Echt-Bodensee-Card, the bus ride is free.

  • Taxi

    From Lindau-Reutin (mainland), a taxi to the Bayerischer Löwe on Lindau Insel will cost approximately €6-8 and take around 9 minutes. Taxis are readily available at the Lindau-Reutin train station.

  • Parking

    Parking on Lindau Insel is limited and can be expensive. Consider parking at P1 Blauwiese or P2 Ehemaliger Bauhof on the mainland and taking the city bus to the Insel. Parking at P1 costs €5 per day. The city bus to the Insel is free with the Echt-Bodensee-Card. If parking on the Insel, the Inselhalle P4 parking garage charges €2 per hour from 8:00 to 20:00, and €1 per hour from 20:00 to 23:00. There is also a flat night fee of €2 from 23:00 to 8:00.
