Getting There

Walking
From Lindau's Inselbahnhof (main island train station), the harbor entrance is a short, direct walk. Exit the station and proceed straight ahead towards the waterfront. The Bavarian Lion statue and lighthouse will be clearly visible. The walk is approximately 5 minutes and is mostly flat. No costs are associated with walking.

Public Transport
If arriving at Lindau-Reutin station (on the mainland), take a city bus to Lindau Insel. Several bus lines connect the Reutin station to the island. The bus journey takes approximately 10-15 minutes, and buses depart frequently. A single ticket costs around €2-3. Alternatively, regional trains also stop at the Inselbahnhof. With the Echt-Bodensee-Card guest card, the Lindau city bus is free.

Taxi
From Lindau-Reutin station, a taxi to the island costs approximately €6-8 and takes around 10 minutes. Taxi stands are available outside the station. Ride-sharing services may also be available. Note that traffic can be heavy during peak season.

Parking
If driving, it is recommended to park in one of the Park & Ride car parks (P1 or P2) on the mainland. From there, take the city bus to Lindau Insel. Parking at Karl-Bever-Platz (P3) costs €1.80 per hour. Parking at Parkhaus Inselhalle (P4) costs €2.00 per hour. A day ticket at Therme Lindau car park costs €7.00. The Lindau city bus is free with the 'Echt Bodensee Card' guest card.
