    To reach Little Hunters Beach, first locate the Park Loop Road, which is the main route through Acadia National Park. From any point in the park, head to the nearest bus stop for the Island Explorer shuttle service. If you’re near Jordan Pond, catch the shuttle heading towards Bar Harbor. Get off at the 'Seal Harbor' stop. From there, walk south along the shoreline for approximately 1 mile. Follow the signs for Little Hunters Beach, and you will see the beach entrance as you approach.

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike at one of the rental stations near Bar Harbor. Once you have a bike, head towards the carriage roads that connect to the Park Loop Road. Follow the road towards the 'Seal Harbor' area. From the 'Seal Harbor' carriage road, continue south on the paved paths until you reach the entrance to Little Hunters Beach. The bike ride is about 2 miles and offers scenic views.

  • Public Transportation

    Use the Island Explorer shuttle service to get to Little Hunters Beach. If you are in Bar Harbor, board the shuttle that goes towards 'Seal Harbor.' Make sure to check the shuttle schedule as it operates seasonally. Once you arrive at the 'Seal Harbor' stop, it’s a short walk south along the shoreline to reach Little Hunters Beach.
