If you are driving, start from the main town of Bar Harbor. Take Route 3 South towards Mount Desert Island. Continue on Route 3 for about 7 miles until you reach the junction for Cooksey Drive. Turn right onto Cooksey Drive and follow it for approximately 1 mile. The overlook will be on your left, with a small parking area available.

If you are using public transportation, you can take the Island Explorer bus service, which operates during the summer months. Board the bus that runs on the Route 3 line. Ask the driver to let you off at the Cooksey Drive stop. From there, you will need to walk about 0.5 miles along Cooksey Drive to reach the overlook. Note that the bus schedule may vary, so be sure to check the latest schedule.
