Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center, exit the center and head south on Route 3. Continue walking along Route 3 for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Cooksey Drive. Turn left onto Cooksey Drive and follow it for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the Cooksey Drive Overlook. This area provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape and is a great spot for photographs.

Bicycling
From Bar Harbor, take the carriage roads towards the park's interior. Follow the carriage roads until you reach the junction with Route 3. Once you hit Route 3, head south until you reach Cooksey Drive. Turn left onto Cooksey Drive and continue for about 0.5 miles to reach the overlook. Bicycling offers a unique way to enjoy the natural scenery along the route.

Hiking
If you are near the Jordan Pond area, you can take the Jordan Pond Path which leads toward the park's main road. From there, navigate to the road leading to Cooksey Drive. You will need to walk along the road for about 1 mile to reach Cooksey Drive. Once on Cooksey Drive, follow it for another 0.5 miles to arrive at the overlook. This route allows you to enjoy the beautiful Acadia wilderness along the way.
