Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main entrance of Acadia National Park at Hulls Cove Visitor Center, head south on ME-3. Continue walking along ME-3 for about 1.6 miles until you reach the intersection with Asticou Road. At this point, you will see signs for Asticou Azalea Garden. Turn left onto Asticou Road and walk about 0.3 miles, where you will find the entrance to Asticou Azalea Garden on your right. The garden is located at ME-3, Mt Desert, ME 04660.

  • Biking

    Start at Hulls Cove Visitor Center. Rent a bike if you don't have one. Ride south on ME-3 for about 1.6 miles. Look for the intersection with Asticou Road, where you will see signs for Asticou Azalea Garden. Turn left onto Asticou Road and continue for about 0.3 miles until you reach the garden entrance on your right.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From any point in Acadia National Park, take the Island Explorer bus service, which operates seasonally. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location and route towards Northeast Harbor. Request to get off at the Asticou Inn stop. From the bus stop, walk along the road for about 0.2 miles, following the signs for Asticou Azalea Garden. The entrance will be on your left.
