To reach C&O Canal Lock 19 using public transportation, take the Metro to the Grosvenor-Strathmore station on the Red Line. From there, you can catch the Ride On bus #46 towards Potomac. Get off at the 'Potomac Village' stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles towards the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Towpath. Follow the pedestrian paths leading to the towpath, and continue until you reach Lock 19. Be sure to check bus schedules for any cost and exact times.
