From the Billy Goat Trail parking area, head southeast on MacArthur Blvd. Continue for about 1.5 miles. You will pass the Great Falls Tavern on your right. The Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historic Park entrance will be on your left at 11710 Macarthur Blvd, Potomac, MD 20854. Parking is available at the park entrance, but be aware that there may be a fee for parking, which varies by day and season.

If you are using public transportation, you can take the Metro to the Grosvenor-Strathmore station (Red Line). From there, transfer to the Ride On bus #46 towards the Potomac area.
