    If you are driving, start by heading toward Pennsylvania Ave NW. From the Capital Beltway (I-495), take exit 22B for I-295 N toward Washington. Continue on I-295 N, then take exit 1A to merge onto I-695 W toward the Southwest Freeway. Keep left at the fork to stay on I-695 W, then take exit 1B for 14th St NW. Continue on 14th St NW, then turn right onto Pennsylvania Ave NW. Lafayette Square will be on your left at the intersection with 16th St NW.

  • Metro

    To reach Lafayette Square by Metro, find your way to any Metro station in the Capital Region. If you're near the Green Line, board a train heading toward Branch Ave and transfer at L'Enfant Plaza to the Yellow Line toward Greenbelt. Get off at the Farragut West station. Exit the station and walk east on I Street NW until you reach 16th St NW. Turn right and walk until you reach Lafayette Square, which will be on your left at the intersection of Pennsylvania Ave NW.

  • Bus

    If you prefer to take the bus, look for a bus stop that services the routes heading toward downtown Washington, DC. For example, if you're near the Prince George's Plaza Metro Station, you can take the F4 or F6 bus toward the National Mall. Get off at the stop closest to Lafayette Square, which is located at 16th St NW & Pennsylvania Ave NW. From the bus stop, it’s just a short walk to the square.
