    To reach the Marine Barracks at 8th St SE, Washington, DC 20003 from Rockville, start by heading to the Rockville Metro Station on the Red Line. Board a train heading towards Glenmont. Travel for 8 stops (approximately 25 minutes) until you reach the L'Enfant Plaza station. Once you exit the train, follow the signs to the L'Enfant Plaza exit. After exiting the station, head southeast towards the intersection of 7th St SW and D St SW. Continue on 7th St SW until you reach the intersection with Independence Ave SW. Turn left on Independence Ave SW and walk until you reach the intersection with 8th St SE. The Marine Barracks will be on your right at 8th St SE.

    From Rockville, you can also take a bus to reach the Marine Barracks. First, find the nearest bus stop for the Ride On Bus service. Board the bus route 46 towards the Glenmont Metro, and ride for about 20 minutes until you reach the Twinbrook Metro Station. From there, transfer to the Metro Red Line and head towards Glenmont. After 5 stops (approximately 15 minutes), get off at the L'Enfant Plaza station. Exit the station and walk southeast towards 8th St SE, following the same route as described for the Metro option.
