Once you arrive at the Mitla bus station, exit and walk towards the main road, Carretera a los Mixes.

From the center of Oaxaca, go to the terminal where colectivos for Mitla are stationed, usually found near the Abastos Market. Get into a colectivo, which is a shared taxi, and confirm with the driver that they are heading to Mitla. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once dropped off in Mitla, walk towards Carretera a los Mixes, heading in the direction of San Pablo Villa de Mitla. The Cuevas Prehistóricas will be on your left.
