If you are driving, start by heading to the Sleeping Bear Dunes Visitor Center located at 9922 Front St, Empire, MI 49630. From the Visitor Center, head northwest on M-22 N for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Crystal Lake Rd. Turn left onto Crystal Lake Rd and continue for approximately 4 miles. Look for signs directing you to Pyramid Point Trailhead. The trailhead is located at the end of the road, where you can park your car. Note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with cash or a credit card.

If you’re using public transportation, take a shuttle service from Traverse City or nearby areas to the Sleeping Bear Dunes area. Once you arrive at the Visitor Center, you will need to arrange for a local taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Pyramid Point Trailhead. The trailhead is approximately 8 miles from the Visitor Center. From the trailhead, you will need to hike about 1.5 miles to reach the Pyramid Point Overlook.
