Walking
From the central area of Fontvieille, head towards the Fontvieille Port. You can start by walking along Avenue de la Madone towards the waterfront. Once you reach the port, you will see the ferry terminal. Board the ferry to Cannes, which departs regularly. The ferry ride will take you across to Cannes, giving you a beautiful view of the coastline. Once you arrive at Cannes, follow the signs to Île Sainte-Marguerite. You will need to walk to the ferry dock at Quai Laubeuf and catch a smaller ferry to Île Sainte-Marguerite. The ferry ride to the island is short, and once you disembark, you can easily follow the signs to the Royal Fort.

From Fontvieille, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Avenue des Papalins. Take bus number 100 towards Nice. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop named 'Cannes - Gare SNCF.' From there, walk towards the ferry terminal at Quai Laubeuf, which is about a 10-minute walk. Once at the terminal, board the ferry to Île Sainte-Marguerite. The ferry ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Upon arrival at the island, follow the signs to the Royal Fort.
