Ferry
To reach the Benedictine Monastery of St. Mary on Lokrum Island, first, make your way to the Old Port of Dubrovnik, which is approximately a 30-minute bus ride from Herceg Novi. Take a local bus (line 1A or 1B) from Herceg Novi to the border and cross into Croatia. After crossing, catch a bus to Dubrovnik's Pile Gate and walk down to the Old Port. The ferry to Lokrum departs regularly from the Old Port. The ride takes about 15 minutes. Once you arrive at Lokrum, follow the signs to the monastery, which is a short walk into the island.

Bus and Foot
From Herceg Novi, take a local bus to Dubrovnik. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once in Dubrovnik, you can either walk or take another bus to the Old Port. If you choose to walk, head towards the Old Town and follow the signs to the Port. After reaching the Old Port, take the ferry to Lokrum Island. Once you arrive on Lokrum, follow the marked paths leading to the Benedictine Monastery of St. Mary.
