Getting There

Walking
From the center of Nagarkot, head south towards the main road (Nagarkot to Bhaktapur Road). Once you reach the main road, turn left and walk straight until you reach the junction where the road branches off towards Bhaktapur. Continue walking along this road, which will eventually lead you to the bus station in Bhaktapur. The Garden of Dreams is located in Kathmandu, so you will need to catch a local bus from Bhaktapur to Kathmandu. Look for buses heading towards 'Ratna Park' or 'Thamel' as these will drop you off close to your destination. Once you arrive at Ratna Park, ask locals or follow signs to Tridevi Sadak where the Garden of Dreams is located. It is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

Hiking
For the adventurous, you can hike from Nagarkot to Bhaktapur along the scenic trails. Start by taking the path that leads down from Nagarkot, following signs towards Bhaktapur. The hike will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Bhaktapur, head to the main road and catch a local bus to Kathmandu. Make sure to ask the bus driver or locals for the best stop to get off near Tridevi Sadak. After getting off at the right stop, the Garden of Dreams is a short walk away.

If you prefer a more straightforward approach, from Nagarkot, you can take a local bus or shared jeep to Bhaktapur. Look for buses labeled 'Bhaktapur' at the main bus stop in Nagarkot. The journey will take about an hour. Once in Bhaktapur, walk to the main bus station and catch another bus to Kathmandu, specifically to Ratna Park or Thamel. After arriving in Kathmandu, you can navigate to Tridevi Sadak using local maps or by asking locals for directions to the Garden of Dreams. It’s a well-known landmark, so you should have no trouble finding it.
