Walking
If you are starting from the Vrijthof square in Maastricht, head east towards the Sint Servaasbrug bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Akersteenweg. Turn right onto Akersteenweg and follow it until you reach the bus station, where you can catch a bus to Aachen. Take bus 50 towards Aachen until you get to the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz stop, which is just a short walk from the Archaeological Window.

From the center of Maastricht, you can rent a bicycle. Head north towards the Meuse River and follow the bike path along the river until you reach the border. Continue following the signs towards Aachen. Once in Aachen, navigate towards Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz using a map application on your phone. The Archaeological Window is easily accessible and situated in the city center.

Public Transport
To reach Aachen using public transport, start at Maastricht train station. Board a train towards Aachen. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Aachen Hauptbahnhof, exit the station and take bus line 3 or 5 towards 'Uniklinik'. Get off at Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz. The Archaeological Window will be within walking distance from the bus stop.
