Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Abel Tasman National Park entrance at Marahau. Drive north on the Takaka Hill Road (State Highway 60) for approximately 40 minutes until you reach Collingwood. From Collingwood, take the Aorere Valley Road heading west. After about 15 km, turn onto the Kahurangi National Park Road. Continue until you reach the car park at the end of the road, which is about a 20-minute drive. Here, you will find a marked trail leading to the Kahurangi Point Lighthouse. The walk to the lighthouse is around 1.5 km and takes about 30 minutes, offering stunning coastal views along the way.

Public Transportation
To reach Kahurangi Point Lighthouse using public transportation, first take a bus from Nelson to Collingwood. The bus service operates several times a day, and the journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once in Collingwood, you will need to book a local shuttle service to the Kahurangi National Park Road entrance. The shuttle ride will take about 20 minutes. From the car park, follow the marked walking track to the lighthouse, which is roughly 1.5 km and takes around 30 minutes to walk.
