Car
If you are driving from Greymouth, take State Highway 6 south towards Hokitika. Continue on State Highway 6 for approximately 90 km. At the junction near Hokitika, take the right turn onto State Highway 73 towards Kumara Junction. Continue for about 55 km until you reach the town of Kumara. From Kumara, turn onto State Highway 6 again, heading south. After about 45 km, turn left onto Aorere Valley Road. Follow Aorere Valley Road for about 10 km. Salisbury Falls is located at 461 Aorere Valley Road, Bainham. Look for signs indicating the falls as you approach.

From Greymouth, take a bus to Westport via State Highway 6. Buses typically run several times a day, but be sure to check the schedule in advance. Once in Westport, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Salisbury Falls. The distance from Westport to Salisbury Falls is about 50 km, which will take approximately 45 minutes by car. Ensure to book your taxi in advance as public transport options in rural areas can be limited.
