Car
If you're driving from the center of Fox Glacier, start on State Highway 6 heading south. Continue for about 25 kilometers (approximately 30 minutes). As you approach Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, watch for signs directing you to Larch Grove Road. Turn left onto Larch Grove Road and follow it until you reach The Old Mountaineers Cafe, which will be on your left.

Public Transportation
To reach The Old Mountaineers Cafe by public transport, take the InterCity bus that travels from Fox Glacier towards Aoraki/Mount Cook. The bus will drop you off near the entrance of Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. From there, it's about a 1.5-kilometer walk to The Old Mountaineers Cafe. Follow the signs toward Larch Grove Road, and you should see the cafe on your left as you approach.

If you're already in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, head towards Larch Grove Road from the main visitor center. It's a short walk of about 1 kilometer (approximately 15-20 minutes) to The Old Mountaineers Cafe. Just follow the path leading to Larch Grove Road, and you'll find the cafe on your left side.
