Walking
If you are starting from the Kaikoura town center, head towards the coast by walking along Beach Road. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Esplanade. Turn left on Esplanade and follow it along the waterfront. You will soon see signs for the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway. The entrance to the walkway is located near the Kaikoura Whale Watch office. The total walking distance from the town center to the walkway entrance is approximately 1.5 kilometers and should take about 20-30 minutes.
