Walking
If you are starting from the Kaikoura i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 36 Aoraki Crescent, head east on Aoraki Crescent until you reach the intersection with the main road, State Highway 1. Cross the highway carefully and continue along the footpath that runs parallel to it. After about 500 meters, you will reach the intersection with Scarborough Street. Turn left onto Scarborough Street and continue walking for approximately 1 km. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Kaikoura Lookout. You will find the lookout is located on your right at 274 Scarborough Street, South Bay.
