If you are driving, head towards Lake Tekapo from Mount Cook National Park. Take State Highway 80 and continue on this road until it merges with State Highway 8. Follow State Highway 8 towards Lake Tekapo. After approximately 40 kilometers, you will arrive in Lake Tekapo. Once in Lake Tekapo, follow Pioneer Drive, which leads directly to The Church of the Good Shepherd. Parking is available near the church.

To reach The Church of the Good Shepherd using public transport, take a bus from Mount Cook Village to Lake Tekapo. Check the schedule for the latest bus times, as services may vary. Once you arrive at the Lake Tekapo bus stop, walk towards Pioneer Drive, which is a short walk from the bus stop. Follow Pioneer Drive to reach The Church of the Good Shepherd. Expect the bus fare to be around NZD 30-40, depending on the service.

If you are already in Lake Tekapo, and prefer to walk, head towards Pioneer Drive from the main village area. The church is located about a 15-minute walk from the center of Lake Tekapo. Simply follow the signs towards the lake, and you will soon see the church perched on the lakeside.
