Bus
From Braga city center, head to the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Braga) located at Avenida da Liberdade. Take the bus to Porto; the journey takes about 40 minutes. Upon arrival at the Porto bus station, walk to the nearest metro station, 'Campo 24 de Agosto'. From there, take Line D (the yellow line) towards 'Hospital de São João'. Alight at 'Trindade' station and transfer to Line A (the blue line) towards 'Senhor de Matosinhos'. Get off at 'São Bento' station. From the station, it's a 10-minute walk to the Statue of Vímara Peres. Head east on Rua de Almeida Garrett, turn left onto Rua da Conceição, and continue until you reach Calçada de Vandoma.

Start your journey at the Braga Metro Station located in the city center. Take the Metro Line B towards 'Estádio do Dragão'. Change trains at 'Trindade' station to Line A (the blue line) towards 'Senhor de Matosinhos'. Alight at 'São Bento' station. From there, exit the station and walk east along Rua de Almeida Garrett, turn left onto Rua da Conceição, and proceed until you reach Calçada de Vandoma and the Statue of Vímara Peres.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, start at the Braga Cathedral (Sé de Braga), which is located in the city center. From the Cathedral, head southwest on Rua do Raio, then turn right onto Avenida da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach the bus station (Terminal Rodoviário de Braga). From there, follow the previous bus instructions to Porto, or you can walk to the train station (Estação de Braga) and take a train to Porto, then follow the metro directions from 'São Bento' station.
