Getting There

  • Metro

    If you're starting from the city center, head to the São Bento Metro Station. Take the Line D (Blue Line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the next stop, which is the Ribeira Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the riverfront. Walk along the river in the direction of the Dom Luís I Bridge, which will be visible ahead.

    If you're near the historic center, such as the Clérigos Tower, walk towards Rua dos Clérigos and head down to Rua de São Bento da Vitória. Continue straight until you reach the Largo de São Domingos. From there, take a right on Rua do Infante D. Henrique, which leads you directly to the river. Continue walking along the riverfront until you see the Dom Luís I Bridge.

    From Praça da Liberdade, take bus number 300 or 303 towards Foz do Douro. Get off at the stop called 'Cais da Ribeira.' From there, walk towards the river and you will see the Dom Luís I Bridge. It's a short 5-minute walk along the waterfront.
