Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car within Nyungwe Forest National Park, head towards the main exit of the park. Follow the signs leading to 'Ruhengeri' or 'Kinigi'. This route will take you out of the park and onto the main road. After exiting the park, continue on the main road for approximately 35 kilometers until you reach the intersection at Kinigi. Turn left at the intersection and follow the road for about 10 kilometers until you see signs for One&Only Gorilla's Nest. The lodge is located in Nyonirima, just off the main road.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin your journey from the nearest town, which is Musanze (formerly Ruhengeri). You can take a local bus or shared taxi from Musanze to Kinigi. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kinigi, you can hire a motorbike taxi (also known as 'moto') to take you directly to One&Only Gorilla's Nest. The motorbike ride will be approximately 10-15 minutes, and you should expect to pay around 2,000 Rwandan Francs for the ride.

If you prefer a more comfortable option, consider booking a private transfer from Musanze to One&Only Gorilla's Nest. Many hotels and lodges offer this service, and it can be arranged in advance. This option will provide you with a direct ride to the resort, taking approximately 45 minutes. The cost for a private transfer typically ranges from 15,000 to 25,000 Rwandan Francs, depending on the provider.
