History of Choiseul Quarter

The Arawaks and Caribs

Long before European settlers arrived, Choiseul Quarter was inhabited by the indigenous Arawaks and later the Caribs. The Caribs, known as fierce warriors, eventually displaced the Arawaks and established their own cultural and social structures.
